This piece came together during a personal growth phase where it became my mission to step outside my comfort zone in all facets of my life. I had realized that I was living according to limitations that were set by society and family dynamics, things that told me what a woman “should” be. As liberating and thrilling as my growth phase has been, the constant navigating of new territory in addition to coming to terms with my past was something I at times found overwhelming. This portrait is a reflection of that.
